Opposition ,Leaders of the INDIA bloc meet in Mumbai's Shivaji Park

Lok Sabha elections 2024: Rahul Gandhi’s gathering at Shivaji Park in Mumbai drew several opposition leaders.

Mumbai: Members of the opposition bloc INDIA convened in Mumbai today, one day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi concluded his 63-day Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra there. They emphasized the importance of a “national Mahagathbandhan.” The yatra began in Manipur, a region ravaged by strife.
“Neither a person nor a party is our enemy. In Hinduism, there is a term called “Shakti.” That Shakti is what we are fighting against, Rahul Gandhi declared.

Speaking out against the opposition and the BJP-led Centre for allegedly using EVMs (electronic voting machines) and federal agencies against them, he declared that the ruling party would not be able to win the Lok Sabha elections without “EVMs, ED (Enforcement Directorate), and CBI.”

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, MK Stalin, Tejashwi Yadav, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Mehbooba Mufti, and MK Stalin were among the opposition leaders present at Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Shivaji Park, Mumbai.

“Dates for the elections have been declared… Today, all of us have traveled to Mumbai. Tejashwi Yadav stated that Rahul Gandhi had issued an invitation.

The opposition event at Shivaji Park, which will kick off the India bloc’s campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, is being hailed as the group’s largest-ever demonstration of strength in the presence of the entire Gandhi family.

Uddhav Thackeray, the head of Shiv Sena (UBT), stated, “Putin is running for president in Russia, but no one is in front of him.” Here, too, they (the BJP) wish to establish something akin to that.”

Today marked the last day of the Russian presidential election, which will undoubtedly strengthen Vladimir Putin’s hold on power.

Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, addressed the assembly, saying, “The BJP talks about gaining more than 400 Lok Sabha seats to amend the Constitution. Gandhi is feared by BJP members in Rahul Gandhi’s honor.”

While in Andhra Pradesh for the BJP’s campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a jab at the Congress earlier today. At the INDIA bloc conference in Mumbai, Prime Minister Modi stated that the Congress’s goal is to “use and throw” its partners.

“Everyone is welcome in the NDA (National Democratic Alliance), but the Congress party’s sole goal is to use and discard allies,” the statement reads. PM Modi stated, “Today, the Congress had to force the India bloc, but their thinking is that only.”

When it was his turn to speak at Shivaji Park, Tejashwi Yadav of the Rashtriya Janaya Dal stated that the struggle of the INDIA bloc is not against Prime Minister Modi or Home Minister Amit Shah in the individual but rather against the “ideology of hate.”

Sharad Pawar, the current leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), stated that just as Mahatma Gandhi issued the “Quit India” declaration from Mumbai, the leaders of the INDIA bloc ought to follow in order to depose the BJP.

With the statement, “When people unite, dictatorship ends,” Uddhav Thackeray launched a direct attack.

The Lok Sabha elections will take place on April 19 and end on June 1. On June 4, there will be a count.
