The chief minister’s residence’s floor arrangement is being examined by the Kolkata police after she recently suffered a head injury from a fall.

Mamata Banerjee, the leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), will miss the opening few days of the Lok Sabha election campaign due to a head injury she suffered on Thursday. The chief minister of Bengal has been recommended to seek bed rest for a minimum of seven days by the attending physicians. They will then assess her condition and come to a new conclusion.

The CM reportedly slipped at her home on Kolkata’s Harish Chatterjee Street and struck her head on a glass exhibit. Her nephew Abhishek Banerjee and the general secretary of TMC hurried her to the state-run SSKM Hospital, where she received four stitches due to her heavy bleeding.

Dr. Manimoy Bandopadhyay, the director of SSKM Hospital, stated on Thursday that the chief medical officer was taken to the hospital “around 7.30 pm with a history of falling within the vicinity of her home due to some push from behind.”

On Friday, he made it clear that he was only implying that the CM might have experienced “a sensation of push.”

“I never said that the CM was shoved from behind. This feeling of being shoved from behind caused CM Banerjee to fall. It is our responsibility to treat, and we have. What I said last night (Thursday) was misunderstood, according to Bandyopadhyay.

“A team of doctors is reviewing the CM’s health condition from time to time,” a senior physician stated. Doctors examine her health parameters every day when they visit her home. She is currently stable and healing swiftly. We’re hopeful she’ll be well enough to take part in political events shortly.

In the meantime, the Kolkata police increased security around Mamata Banerjee’s Kalighat home and opened an investigation into the event one day after she allegedly fell and suffered head injuries. The layout of the CM’s apartment’s floors is also being examined by the Kolkata police.

“We are reviewing all security aspects of the CM’s residence to prevent such accidents,” a senior police officer stated. We will be renovating the places where we found some uneven flooring.
