Breaking news Wave has been informed by insiders that Chelsea is “likely” to sell Conor Gallagher this summer as a result of pressure from their sustainability and profit departments. A transaction may even be completed sooner than anticipated.

It’s said that the midfield player and the Blues have not reached a mutual understanding and that negotiations on a new deal have not progressed.

ources revealed to Football Insider on March 9 that negotiations for a better contract between Chelsea and Gallagher have entirely stopped.

Tottenham is still very much interested in getting Gallagher to North London come summertime, having conducted negotiations about a move for him in January.

This summer, Conor Gallagher is “likely” to leave Chelsea.
If Chelsea’s discussions come to a standstill, Gallagher might decide to make a sensational move to their bitter rivals in London.

Chelsea will have to sell important players in order to balance their books and prevent a possible point deduction due to their financial difficulties.

Before July, they intend to sell up to four senior stars, with Gallagher at the top of the list of players they may profit from, sources have told Football Insider (6 March).

Keith Wyness, the former chief executive of Everton, informed Football Insider on Friday that Todd Boehly, the head of Chelsea, had flown to Saudi Arabia to meet with league executives on the “fire sale” of players prior to the June 30th financial deadline.

Gallagher’s Stamford Bridge contract is scheduled to expire at the conclusion of the 2024–2025 campaign, therefore the Blues would be tempted to offload him this summer in order to prevent losing him for nothing.

Gallagher was an academy graduate, thus his departure would appear on Chelsea’s books as pure profit, giving them a significant advantage in their attempts to streamline their finances.

Chelsea could violate Premier League financial regulations and lose points if funds aren’t obtained by June 30.
