In connection with the purported usage of snake venom, he was taken into custody by Noida Police on Sunday and also appeared in court.

Winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2: In a snake venom case, Elvish Yadav was sentenced to 14 days of judicial detention on Sunday under the Wild Life Protection Act of 1972.

He was arrested by Noida Police on Sunday in the alleged use of snake venom case and was presented in the court also.

On November 3, 2023, an FIR was filed at the Noida police station’s Sector 49, naming him as one of the six individuals. The five other defendants, according to officials, were taken into custody but are now free on bond.

Details provided by news outlet PTI state that the charge was filed for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code and the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.

Later, the investigation of the matter was moved from Sector 49 to Sector 20 police station.

The culprit has been taken into custody by a squad from the Sector 20 police station that was looking into the matter, Additional DCP (Noida) Manish Mishra said PTI.

This case concerns the police raids at a party in Noida in November 2023, when the police discovered that the attendees had been using snake venom to get wasted. According to the sources, Elvish Yadav is suspected of bringing snake venom to the celebration and was there.

Following police raids, videos of Elvish Yadav holding snakes went viral on social media, with viewers calling for the YouTuber’s arrest.

An official of the animal rights organization People For Animals (PFA) filed a complaint, which led to the case’s filing.

Details reveal that Maneka Gandhi, a prominent member of the BJP and chairperson of the PFA, had demanded Yadav’s immediate arrest after accusing him of being involved in the illegal sale of snake venom.

On November 4, while traveling with his pals in a car, Yadav was briefly stopped by police in Kota, Rajasthan, for questioning, but he was immediately released.
